Most of the time: it's either about steel, or brand of knives.
How about "What is your favorite Logo"?
Here's my vote for Rick Hinderer Knives.

I "get it", and there are some interesting logos . . .but I have never gotten or given a knife based on the graphic representation of the knife makers professional persona.

Reputation for quality of materials and excellence of execution balanced against intended use and price point make the difference to me. I did buy a Randall #16-1 for an active duty Marine on his way to a hot combat zone. I would not consider giving him a genuine Loveless "Big Bear" sub-hilt fighter for EDC on his plate carrier though.. I might do that in (enshrined in a shadow box) in celebration of him receiving a medal for valor in combat . . .and surviving to get it (that didn't happen, and, in the end, I was relieved)

In some other context, I would be looking for a no-name machete at a pawn shop along with a file to sharpen it with.

True.... but at the same time i have Not bought certain knives specifically because I didn't like the looks of their marketing or logos.

(Esee Cleaver with Idaho lasered out, and Buck froe with the anvil lasered out.)

Nobody does a hologram do they? Could be an applique to the sheath or pommel.

I don't think modern materials technology allows for a 3-D printed knife yet. ANot sure that would be any advantage, but . . .

No-one has associated the desirability of a logo with collectability . . .that might be a valid consideration.
