How many of you out there are lucky enough to still own one of these jewels?
The ones I'm speaking of have the diamond engraved logo and notched choil. IMHO, I think these models were Spyderco's best and they're getting hard to find.

I have 2 of them. One with the 2 screw clip in ATS-34 and one in CPM 440V.

Dman,

I have a black blade model, ATS34 with the 2 screw clip,
I notice that the engraving on the black-ti models seems to be filled with a gold coloring. This one stays in the display. ;)

Dman,

I just pulled out the original 1996 press release for the military and it states that the first run was CPM-440V to be joined shortly by the ATS34 version. It goes on to state that both will be available with titanium carbonitride coating (black-ti) on the blade & lock.
I didn't realize I had this baby for that long!

Nice! My box on the ATS-34 is dated '97. I guess their first year was '96 then making the Military.

I have one, had the original knife on pre-order back in the day. Mine sits in the safe. Never been used. It did pick up a "stain" on the blade, not sure how. I got it at a time when I was not as "into knives" and I never fell in love with it. Maybe I ought to try a newer model, seems people like this knife, maybe I am missing something.
