Who has the same "problem"?

Since I have begun to collect knives, the number of knives I carry has increased proportionally to the number of knives I own.
Currently I carry four knives (I hope my wife does not read this thread because she already thinks that I am in the need of a psychiatric treatment after I started to carry three knives) and I would like to believe that I have the need of four knives. But to be honest, the reason is that it hurts me to leave one of my favourites in the drawer.
I will not stop to collect knives and so I ask myself how many knives I will carry in some years.

Now to my question, is there anyone who has the same “problem”?

No, You have two problems:

1.Trying to convince your wife you are sane (it's too late, so forget it).

2. Wearing clothes with enough or even MORE pockets.:D

I'm only up to two. I've got some catching up to do....

I think we all do.
Yesterday my wife took 5 knives out of her purse. I had 5 or 6 myself, if you count the Leatherman tools we both had.

James Mattis posted a scan called, "What have we got in our pockets?". I have a copy at work, I'm on vacation. Maybe someone else can post it.

Maybe we all are a bit crazy.

Just wait until you carry six knives and two guns. My GD pants keep falling down and my friggin lower back hurts. Just cannot figure out how to sit with a fixed blade in my back pocket.OUCH.....wolf

There are no problems, only opportunities. :D Currently, I have the opportunity to carry three knives on me, plus one with my car keys and another in my bag, for a total of five.

I usually have 4 knives on me and a swisstool....also carry 2 or 3 others in my brief case to play around with... :)

2 are small...small SAK and a spyder police necklace

an XXL TNT in pocket, and a Simonich Pikuni on a horizontal belt
sheath......

start carrying a brief case to work Horus....then you won't have to leave your "favorites" in the drawer and worry about them getting ........"lonely" :D

Yeah, guilty myself.

2 years ago all I had on me was a SAK.

Today?

Spyderco Chinook
SAK Tinker
Ken Onion Scallion
Colt Police Positive/United Cutlery (yeah I know some folks hate them, but I dig this knife for some reason)

And if I am traveling, I often add a S&W neck knife.

I may "clink" when I walk, but if anyone in my groups ask if someone has something sharp my friends and family all start snickering!

I only carry one, but I can count the number of knives I own on one hand. ;) As soon as I get a job, that'll change fast... :D

Hey Horace, you dont have a problem. You just have to use a little logic. Here's what I do. I have a large folder in a sheath for large jobs where the knife will be out for a while. I have a pocket clip folder for quick jobs where it's just not worth it to get the large one out of the sheath. There's a harmless looking pocketknife for when i'm in a place where it's just not cool to be whipping out large or wicked looking knives. And I have a small POS chinese knife that I use for scraping or cutting very undesirable. Ya see. You dont have a problem. Your just looking at it the wrong way. Later, Alex

Like The Last Confederate said there was a time the only knife I had on me was a SAK, now the number I knives I have on me is constantly growing. I went to a knife club meeting last week and the guy I was traveling with asked how many knives I had on me. I thought for a minute and said, "Five". Then I thought again and said, "Six". Now I wasn't carrying anything special for the meeting it was just the knives I had on me. They were, Carson & Washburn custom folders in stag in belt sheaths, Carson F4 neck knife (stag of course), Kershaw Chive as a money clip, and clipped to my right pocket a DeltaZ/DDR Osprey, the one I forgot to count the first time was a Bob Ogg slipjoint in stag that rides in my back pocket.

I've considered carrying more, but that might seem excessive. ;)

Hey Guys...

Like someone said earlier I think we all have the same problem...

3-4 blades is not uncommon to have on my person...Most "Normal" people won't understand that...I know you guys do...

Depending what I'm doing I can have up to six different knives with me...

I went to cubs tonight and had 4 on me...:)

The good thing is Dockers just came out with pants ,,just for us :)
Not sure what they are called though...

I heartily recommend BDU trousers!! They've got LOTS of pockets that give you plenty of acreage to carry LOTS of knives. And that's not even counting belt knives, neckers, down-the-back, forearm sheaths, IWB, ankle-pocket, underarm rigs, or the one taped to your thigh.

Huh? Who? Me? Uh .... no. No problem over here at all. It's normal to be talkin' out of a pile o' cutlery. Just ask my knife knut buddies, they'll tell ya. :D

What got me started, was I once went to this small Church, where the pastor was a rabid knife collector, I mean BIG time whole room full of knives. Anyway it was totally wild to see him stand up there and preach in a suit and tie, and see pocket clips from both front and back pockets that said

Spyderco
Benchmade
and a ton of other names as he switched out his ECD's. He is the one that really first taught me the difference between "good" knives and "
great" knives.

Still kinda wild to think of a preacher packin' 4-6 knives at once though.
