I was looking at the sfo and am interested in opinions from anyone that owns that display case with the logo at the top and holds 5-6 knives. It looks nice, and there are a few knives that I would like to keep unused, thought it may be nice. I think it costs like $40, which could just about buy me a new ffg delica. Not sure if it is worth it?

Are you are talking about one of these with the red Spyderco Logo? I bought one, had to take it back because it was cracked. The plastic is kind of flimsy if you ask me and it's a cool piece but don't expect too much quality out of it for $40

Now I also have a couple of older Dealer displays which were made with thicker acrylic and SO much better but they are harder to find and usually a bit more money.

That be it, but wow I have never seen that older one in the pic, I wish that they still made 'em.

that large acrylic case is cool. I just got back from Sears, I was looking at the roll around tool drawers for knifge and tool storage...:)

I probably would have done the same and ate mine but the SFO is in my back yard so it was easy to exchange it. They had several others that were also cracked when looking for an unbroken case so I know I wasn't the only person that had experienced this and exchanged theirs. I hope that Spyderco throws out this display and comes back with something a bit better. I would easily pay $50-$70 for a better quality Spyderco branded display and I think others would do the same.

By the way, the older Spyderco dealer cases locked and came with keys, which is cool! it just so happened that I spent $50 for the first one I have and I paid $75 for the other one through eBay over the years.

they do feel kind of flimsy, but I never had problems with my 2
in fact, i will be getting at least 2 more

This is not Spyderco Displays. Shadowboxes from Home Goods, about $16, very durable.

I have a triangular Gerber knife display case that rotates, I bought it from a store that I worked at when it was closing down. it was about $40 but it is cool and I have most of my knives in it.
