Hinderer is suppossed to make the 3" XM18 soon, and will probably make it in a production slicer, that should be cool!
Yes it would actually, I rarely see the 3'' in spearpoint but would not mind a slicer to go with it. Would make a perfect knife to carry while wearing a suit at work. The 3.5'' flipper is a tad to large IMO.
Nope, I want a 3'' to carry while at work being I am usually in a shirt & tie w dress slacks. the 3.5'' flipper is a lil bulky. A 3'' non flipper would prob do the trick. You have me thinking on a slicer & spearpoint to aquire down the road.
I'm betting that a 3" Slicer will be much easier to find than a Spearpoint in the near future.
Best way to get a "special" Hinderer is to go to a show or gathering and be luck enough to win a spot in a lottery. And hope your name comes up early. The most unique pieces seem to go the quickest.
The photo thread shows a plethora of blade grinds and finish combinations.
As to size of the XMs. Different people prefer different things. I like all sizes, but prefer flippers. A 3" most likely goes better with dressier clothing and in places where (silly) laws dictate blade length. 24s are big and bad! You are reassured by its heft that it won't let you down. The 3.5 (Goldilock's most likely favorite) is a great size for most tasks and is my primary EDC.
I would like to pick one of these up as my next purchase (non flipper) & I do think they are only offered as a custom grind. For those of you that own one please post up some pics...

I know people that are into the 3" but that is only because they are not allowed to carry the 3.5" where they are.

Well a 3" slicer has not been made, we are hoping and assuming it will be made. The production slicers in the 4th gen 3.5 is a huge hit and much lighter, so I'm sure it will go over well in the 3"!
