Who is carrying the Camillus torch?

Just what the title says... who is making knives under the Camillus name these days? Seems like I've seen some current production knives lately... anybody know if it's a reputable maker, or is it a situation similar to what happened to Schrade?

To my knowledge the situation is similar to that of Schrade. The name was sold to an importer.

I received a flier in the mail today, had "new" Camillus knives listed in it.

The rights to the Camillus brand were bought by Acme-United Corporation. There have been other discussions recently on this topic.

Basically, as stated above, the Camillus brand has become what Taylor Brands LLC did with Schrade: nothing more than a marketing strategy, working the domestic familiarity of the brand for maximum profit. Nothing wrong with that as a business model, but I have a personal beef with Acme-United over some promises made & not kept.

Hm.... I was mildly intrigued by the prospect of a current production Cuda (the one with the sliding thumb disc), but oh well.
