Who is going to the DFW knife show

I think I will be attending also as I just heard about this yeasterday. This will be my first real knife show and im excited.

You gotta be KIDDIN me. I'm going to be out of town this weekend in Athens. Okay, checked my planna, and I can be back sunday afternoonish. I'll go then.

If you check the classified ads in the Dallas Morning News under Guns (I think that is the subtitle) there is a $4 off coupon for the show. I didn't check today, but it was there earlier in the week.

What should I expect for this knife show as I have never been to more than a gun show that contained some knives...Will it be all customs, mostly customs or a good mix? What is the entrance fee? Anything else I should know? Sorry for the questions but i'm really excited and will be making the 4 hour drive up tomorow morning. Thank you.

Knife shows vary a lot. The majority have a lot of factory knives for sale, the usual flea market stuff, a few guns, and some custom knife makers from the general area. If you want to see a real knife show, pencil in a trip to Atlanta in early June for the Annual Blade Show. It is not one you want to spend only one day at.

This is one the custom knife forums here and you can find out more by going to the web site www.spiritofsteel.com
No guns, it is a knife show and has some very good knifemakers that will be attending. I am sorry that I will be unable to go due to illness in my family. John Martin was gracious enough to take my knives and put them out at the show. I think he will have 3 knives there also. He is at B10 I think, next to Dickie Robinson and James Cook.

SOS is a real knife show.Think of it as Blade-Lite. There will be lots of custom makers, knife supply companies, the Crucible Steel guys, the folks from Spyderco. It's a good show. Well worth the drive up I-35.
