I am jumping the gun right now as a quick and dirty way to get answers but rest assured i am not lazy and will read thru old posts.

So much talk about this Ken Onion gentleman I will definitely look into it.

I dunno if it was me but when i first saw the name (or wassit a post) say 3 months back i had the feeling that ken Onion was japanese.. hnn must be too much to drink that time..

anyway dont mind me I'll find his webpage =)

I really don't know how to answer your question in the rapid fire, capulized, "give it to me quick" two sentence answer. Ken Onion is a long standing master knife maker that among other things is an innovator of the "speed safe" opening system. Gee, if you want to you can monitor these forums and even see him post a few notes. You might even want to spend some time and go through old threads on the forum (kinda get used to seeing his name and pick up a few things he has to say). If you're really interested in knives, you'll note that there are a lot of makers that post on this forum that are actually written about in magazines! That's as brief as I can get. Happy Thanksgiving.
 
Ken Onion is many things, one of the best knife makers, an American who lives in Hawaii with his very cool wife, an inventor, and IMO, a genius. He's also a real nice guy who loves knives and Harley's I believe.

THanks to all the neat replies I hope i didnt sound like a lazy ass by posting this message - i just wanted to show my interest asap. I am surfing his page now and Mr. Onion is vbery smooth. (in all sense of the word)

Joking aside he is a very fortunate guy to have so many friends and supporters. You guys alwayse make my day.

So your a transplanted pineapple? Thats great, were all over the place. I'm also a biker hopefully getting a new 2000 Road King if the good Lords willing and the creek don't rise.I'm just afraid that if I do I'll neglect my knives and grow a really long pony tail to offset my tatoos and belly.
