Who is making a good pen knife?

I have really come to love the little pen knife, I find it is all the knife I need most of the time and it carries well, I actually get a kick out of using a smaller knife. The pen and the jack/barlow are my two favorite patterns. I am getting a couple vintage pen knives off e-bay, but they are more to see the quality of the older knives and look to be in too bad a shape to make solid users (we shall see soon).

My question is who is making a 3-3.5in. pen knife with bone or stag scales and carbon steel blades under $60? I love my Case, but the more I carry it the more I wish it had bone scales that look nice and age well vs. yeller plastic.

I have been keeping my eye on a Boker, but the pics I see of it are poor in quality and it looks like the blades don't taper well which lends itself to thick edges at the tip and no point. Who here has one and how do they compare to the Case version? I like some of Bokers offerings, but it seems like some of there patterns are done better than others, is this one of them? Anyone have any better pics of one?

Would love to see pics of any pen knives y'all like to use.

This is my EDC - Case pen with bail and scissors in amber bone. If I'm awake, it's in my pocket, and I won't get locked out, left in the dark, or stuck without a knife when I need one. The scissors come in handy for a surprising number of things too.

Brian If you can find one the older puma bantem is a first rate pen
knife. I carry one in my watch pocket every day. I may have another one in my knife box. I will look and see If so I will send you one. Don't go with a new one as they are not the knife the
older ones were.

SAK makes some in Alox or black plastic
Case makes a mini copperhead with blades each end

I have a S&M Half Whittler which is a turkish clip and a coping blade 3 1/2" in a lovely green yellow jigging.
It is very slim and narrow as it is a single spring. The main clip and the coping sit close to the handle so it keeps its narrow shape

Also I have a Queen Burke half whittler 3 1/4" in Sanvick in Winterbottom bone with wharncliif and pen blades

Boker also makes a nice pen knife, it's their Model 240.
Two carbon steel blades and just about 3 inches closed.

I have a Böker pen-knife in Honeycomb bone which I like a lot,but it's stainless.

I believe Böker still do a pen-knife in Grand Canyon bone(really good bone that)which is carbon.

Northwoods might be offering something, but it will cost...

Yes, it's a shame CASe doesn't offer more option in their pen, it's a very good knife indeed, now if that were available in Chestnut bone in cv.....

All good recommendations, but most aren't carbon steel. I already have have a Victorinox pen, and while I like the looks of the other Case pens, I won't be fully satisfied until I have one in carbon steel.

That is a very generous offer. I have always wanted an example of German cutlery when it was still some of the best in the world. If you do find one let me know, I will buy it or trade you out of it if I can.

BTW: both of our packages should be arriving today or tomorrow;).

I looked and I do have one. I will email you later today.

PS I Am looking forward to the package.

I've been carrying a Boker pen for a year, now. It's a little guy at 2 & 3/4". Both blades taper to fairly acute points and they share a single backspring. It's in carbon steel and both blades have a decent patina, as does the backspring. My only real complaint is the pebbled brown delrin isn't very pretty. Don't rule out Boker yet.
