Everyone loves to beat a combat grade, and lots of us have satin/LE users, but all the custom shop knives I see pics of are safe queens. Obviously there is some hesitation to beat a more expensive model. The thing is, most people posting here have several Busses, and a fair bit of cash invested; the custom shop models are not usually more that the cost of 2 similar satins. Ergo, one would think more folks who appreciate nice knives, use them frequently, and dont mind spending some money on them would invest in a custom shop model with some nice wood handles, and use it for a lifetime. There is nothing wrong with a beautiful knife accumulating some scars and character. On top of the arguments above, Busses last forever, the shop will replace the scales if they break, and for thousands of years all users have had bone wood or stone handles
So show em if you got em. Post some pics of custom shop users with natural scales; the more scars the better.
