Who is still using Wordperfect?

I still use Wordperfect 8 occasionally. I know how to 'password-protect' a single .wpd file - but is it possible to 'password-protect' an entire folder? I need to create a folder for unapproved radio scripts and the folder itself should be 'password-protected' so only I or the recording engineer have access to the files inside. How do I do that?

truecrypt :p

Just make a 5gb partition to store on, or use a prog like cryptnote to make your files.

So, there's nothing in my OS (WinXP) or in Wordperfect that will allow me to protect a folder with a simple "password"? I don't want to have to use 3rd party software - if I walk into a new studio where I haven't worked before, I can't expect them to install a program just to open my folders!

(Anyway, WHY can I 'password-protect' a file - but not a folder? What's the big deal?)

You could try zipping all the files using winzip; there is probably a password option there. Most places will have winzip, or something that will work well enough. It's just an idea.

I personally have truecrypt on my flashdrive and a 100mb section of it encrypted. When I'm making my files at school I save em into an encypted section on the harddrive and transfer the finished one over to my flashdrive.

Saves me password protecting everything since they need to figure out my password for the section if they want my files(and with 256-448-256 encryption they'll have fun).

Thanks, guys. I'll try some workarounds. (But I'd still like to know WHY a folder can't be protected with a password like a file can?) I guess I'll just continue to password-protect each individual script. PITA.
