Looking for STR on forum

supposedly he does edc pocket clip conversions of Buck Duke 500 knives

looking for a price to do one

Thank you Kevin! The truth is my cancer is back, in my bones. I've been fighting it for, well, since I closed shop basically. I kept it to myself at first. It is satisfying to see the requests still come in, and flattering to see low rider clips around the world on all manner of knives. Knowing I was doing them in the 90s when the internet didn't even exist I sometimes think to myself I invented them and someone saw one and took off with my idea but I can't swear to that it's just one of those fantasies you know?! I wanted to keep working but the treatments have taken the wind out of these sails. I browse the internet. Things are in remission and I'm still fighting but here soon I'll be unable to even walk so right now I'm just raising money to buy one of those get around wheeled things able to travel over some gravel. I can't seem to find one with a dump bed! :-) Anyway I wish I could fix all you guys up I really do! Just not capable anymore. Politics somehow manages to help me find energy I didn't know I had tho so I rather enjoy getting hot about it these days! If you want to stir me up come see me on FB and start telling me how great Obama was or some shit and I'll find it! Ha! I love you guys! Merry Christmas to all and always remember each day is a gift! Damm -I've been away from BF for years-just rejoined a night ago and STR was the first member search I've done. Very sorry to hear about his cancer. One of his modified Spyderco ATR is in my pocket as I type this. This has the non lock side replaced with some form of plastic /fibreglass/G10? . I'm afraid to count just how many other folding knives I've got - but the STR-ATR keeps gettin all the pocket/use time . Whatevers new gets a ride around the block for a few days-but that particular STR/ATR is my steady user. So far -nothings been a better tool for daily use. He put his low rider clips on several knives for me and I was late to realize that guys were talking me out of those knives because of those low riders. Steve -how are you doing ? You're in my prayers.

STR made me a very nice knife a long time ago. I regret that I had to sell it. He also was a lot of fun to talk to. I'm glad he's still here in the community.
 
Steve did the non-lock side Ti scale for my CQC-12 in 2005. His initials are scratched on the inside. I still carry it often.
