Who is testing for JS or MS at Blade 2008?

Gustavo Vilar should once again be going for his JS since he missed the flight in last year and was disqualified from it.

Rodrigo Sfreddo planned to go for MS this year but I'm not sure were he stands at the moment.

I think that Phillip Patton is going for his JS stamp too. I am waiting until next year at the earliest:grumpy:

I thought Tommy Gann was going for his MS?

What about Nick Wheeler?

Nick got his JS rank (and Peck award) last year. While an applicant can submit to the performance portion of the MS test after one year, he must have held the JS rank for at least 2 years before submitting his MS test knives at Blade.

If the guys listed here all go for it then there will be one hell of a crop of Journeymen and Mastersmiths coming out of Atlanta this year!!!

What about Shawn Ellis for Ms?

I am testing for Ms in my mind. LMAO... ;) Just kidding. Roger's right, I'm eligible in 2009. We'll see about that one.... :)

You'll never make it, man. You have to be able to finish a knife first. :p :D
Now, if you could actually finish all six knives, I'm sure you'd pass.:cool:
In other words, I can't hardly wait to see that turkish twist knife finished....

Hello everyone first post. Kevin Craig was at the show in Little Rock i think his job has been keeping him really busy.:D

Well I was hoping to go for MS this year. Just not quite there yet. Also nothing done yet, procrastination and moving sucks.

I'm hoping to test for JS this year. Provided I can get the knives done. I passed the cut and bend test in 2006 but shop time has been extremely scarce. Somehow my regular job keeps interfering... speaking of which, you guys see my quote in the Wall Street Journal this weekend?

You can see some of the stuff I've been working on on my website, here: http://www.dicksworkshop.com/jstest5.htm

I'll be rooting for your Derrick! Shoot us a link to that Wall Street quote will you? Or maybe cut and paste?

Thanks Stewart. Welcome to the forum. Are you new to custom knife collecting or just to the forum?
