I need some information on a Marbles knife and ideas on a restoration on it. I will get pictures up but from what I can gather this was made prior to 1932 and was forged. It has the stacked leather handle and stamped with the 1916 patent date.

Sounds like you've got a prize. 'Restoring' it, though, might destroy its value to a collector. I saw an old Marble's, well-used, in an antique shop in Denver, and the tag was $300. Look forward to the pix.

This one is in rough shape, it was found by my friends grandfather who is now deceased and given to him. He is looking at his options on it. There is more sentimental value there then what the knife might be worth. But I will get the pictures after lunch.

Don't touch the knife with anything other than a soft cloth dappled with mineral oil.

Get some decent pics and post it in the Bernard Levine subforum here.
Mess of smart folks there...

Sounds like neat piece. :)

Mike Stewart at Bark River Knife and Tool helped me out with info on a couple of old Marble's knives. Looking forward to the pics!

Here are a few pictures I took at lunch. I will post in the other forum also and see if anyone can tell me anything.
