Hey Guys...

I know a little bit about Tim Wegner,, but I'm interested in learning more..

Where and how does he fit into the Knife Biz?

I also know he owns Blade-Tech, and have seen his name quite a few times...

Any info would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks Eric...

Tim Wegner is an avid outdoorsman having got his start by making custom knife sheaths as well as for some big makers. The Christian symbol of the fish he puts on his products do to his faith and the near fatal accident his son suffered. I have a few of his products and have found them to be excellent. I carry a fullsize HK .45 in a IWB holster as well as a standard holster and use his paddle pouch to carry a spare mag and Sure-Fire flashlight. He also makes a case for the AN/PVS-6 night vision goggles under contract with the government.
He offers a 30 day trial of his product and customer service is top rate. Hope this helps.
He can be reached at:

Don't forget Tim's web site at:

http://www.blade-tech.com

Tim designed the "ultimate" hunting, skinning, and utility knife, the Pro Hunter. This knife is available in a custom variant, produced by Phil Boguszewski in micarta or Ti handled versions.

This knife is the basis for the Spyderco C48/C49. The major differences being a slightly higher point on the customs, and a G-10 handle on the Spyder. Tim does license the Spyder hole for the customs, so that part does not change.

The Pro Hunter is also the basis for a new fixed blade version, being produced in limited quantities. Phil Boguszewski is producing them in CPM-440V, and Rob Simonich is doing them in Talonite.

Finally, the Pro Hunter is being taken into the "mini" market with the Spyderco Mouse, scheduled for release in May, exclusively through Blade-Tech.

As for Tim hisself, he's a great guy, who is absolutely dedicated to making everything he does the best it can be.

Riley, the area code is 253 rather than 235. I used to live just down the street from where he is located now.
