who knows anything about this condor?

It looks like it has the same handle as the Eco Survivor machete. I'll tell you, that handle is one of the most comfortable handles I've ever used on a cutting tool. It has a nice swell to it that promotes a very good grip.

I use my gerber prodigy alot but sometimes its size isnt big enough for hacking at some stuff or just simply doesn't have enough weight behind it. this seemed like a good size smaller then machete but bigger then most knives.

Think the 440 HC stainless spec on knifecenter is a typo all their other offerings are usually 420hc
For full specs check out this MOUNTAIN KNIFE http://www.condortk.com/productsdetail.php?prodid=17 , Condor's site does a great job of listing steel, lengths, weights, and thickness of their blades so if you browse their catalog you may also find something to fit your need.

It's 420HC. Good little tiny machete/large thin knife hybrid. The El Salvador-class handle is one of the most ergonomic in the business if you ask me. Hard to find a handle more comfy and useful than that!
