Heres my new Ruger 357, ivory grips with solid silver rattlesnakes inlayed into the ivory. A good customer of mine makes grips for guns and recently made this one up,He ordered a high end knife from me, so we horse traded around and I ended up with this. I feel like Clint Eastwood carring this thing around,LOL

Dang, thats nice! I'm not a big fan of older style revolvers but with those grips its stunning.

Your lucky Charlie, I have 2 years until I can even apply for a pistol permit and when I do I can't even get a carrying license. I guess the south does have one good thing. ;)

Man I would be lost without a carry gun, 98% of the time I always have one on me. Guns laws in some states are to strict, Thats when only the criminals carry the guns, who loses in that? also he hand hammered those snakes out of silver dollars, hes a good ole fellow

In Montana anyone can carry in open sight. If you apply for a concealed permit they must grant it unless the Sheriff of your home county can show in open court why it should not be granted. Also, a handgun is only considered concealed if it is concealed upon your person. A pistol under your car seat or in the glove compartment is not a concealed weapon, it is normal. If you are outside of any town you can have a weapon concealed upon your person without a permit as long as you are engaged in a lawful pursuit. Very little gun crime or for that matter crime. Yes, it is loaded.

There should be more open carry states. All the ones that have this or recently adopted these measures have not seen any increase in gun crimes. Sorry, not trying to derail the thread.

That's a handsome pistol!!

Thank you edro20, I have always liked guns. My father taught me at a young age how to be responsible around guns, and hopefully one day I will teach my daughter or son the same. Ive been in situations where I had to have a gun and brothers their is no better feeling in the world than knowing you are ready for whats going down, and no worse feeling than not having what you need!

I use to cut them up, but not no more...... :grumpy:
It took a lot to do one, had to brake the gun down and all. Had a dent in the end of my finger from filing them.
I did do one rifle but did a lot of pistols - I like them....... :D:thumbup:

Heres my new Kimber 45, Mr bump anything you do is amazing!!!!!! Your cut and shoots are possible the coolest thing I have ever seen!

I love the Kimber. I bought my first Kimber with the re-enlistment bonus I received for my second 6 yr hitch back in 2001. It's a Pro Carry and I love it! I ended up picking up a Ultra CDP a year or so later from a guy who was hurting for cash (really bad) for $350 but later sold it and picked up a Custom II a few months ago but ended up selling it as well. That Pro Carry will be with me for the rest of my life. It's the only pistol I've ever held that felt like a natural extension of my hand.

Sounds like I need to check out the Kimber. I should get a concealed weapons permit too. I have some 6 shooters laying around but nothing big bore and modern like this Kimber. I like the looks of it.

Mr Bump you should really check out the kimber's, I have owned many 1911's,colts, springfield's, but this Kimber is amazing! My model is the Kimber ultra raptor 2, concealed carry, but is probaly more accurate than most full size 1911's that aren't custom fitted and all. Until this one I had never owned a gun I wouldn't sell, its kinda like that old pair of boots you just love cause the fit so well,LOL They are very nice guns

My current carry is a Dan Wesson CBOB (Classic BobTail). It is by far the best pistol I have ever shot. I have about 1500 rounds throught it now and The only failure I have had was with a Wilson Mag early on.

Oldrifleman, I gotta say the Dan Wesson is also a amazing gun. My step father owns a Dan Wesson 357 revolver and uses it to shoot in competitions here in Al. He wins most of them, they are fine guns and shoot very straight!
