Who likes runes ?

I love runes because originally they were not written by pen. They were engraved by blade or spike. Runes do not have round shapes or vertical lines, which are difficult when writing on wood. Runic script on spine: my initials and country (JSP Suomi).

Sure. I'm fairly good at reading futhark as well, or I used to be a few years ago.

I like the idea of a maker identifying his work in a manner that is significant to him and unique. It is part of the history of the knife. Aside from that, over the past couple of years I have discovered the beauty of the pukko. I appreciate the history of the country along with the significance that the puukko has held in the society.

They definitely look awesome on the blade you pictured! Other than that I have no knowledge/interest in anything pertaining to runes

I am making birch bark sheaths and I have many left over pieces. Birch bark and spike was used before paper and pen. So, I practised my rune scripting ability.
