I'm having trouble making up my mind as to whether I think it would be more functional than a less extreme folder or more functional. It looks cool, but I am a little undecided as to how much I like it.
What do you think?

I have a my tighe and love it. I wouldn't mind a tighe stick but it is a little too pointy for an edc. The only thing wrong with my my tighe is that it is too expensive for me to feel really comfortable carrying it around.

and just to make things more difficult...why don't you get a matching set with the fixed blade :)

I have one, and it is my favorite knife to date, well... let's just say it is way up there, here is mine! Paul

The only complaint I have with the Tighe Stick is the location of the thumbstud which makes it awkward to open. But I also have a Tighe-Phoon and wouldn't leave home without it. Overall Tighes are very under-rated, fit/finish, quality components, pefect ergonomics are all unsurpassed.

How pointy is the tip?
It's kind of hard to tell from those pics.
thanks.

RL, I like the flipper design.
Does it work well?

Well this is embarrassing...I didn't even notice that it was a flipper! The knives are not mine...that pic was taken at the Canadian Knifemakers Guild show last October. I will see Brian Tighe in three weeks (at the Port Stanley show)...I will be sure to check if he has some flippers.

I don't know about the Stick flipper, but his Tighe Phoon is an extremely smooth flipper.
