Who made D2E steel?

Hi All,

Back in a day, D2E steel was quite popular, but it was not really stated who made it. I saw posts implying it was made by Crucible, and also one post from Christina Montero(REKAT) mentioning it was imported, which would imply foreign maker, i.e. Crucible wouldn't be the one.

Anyway, if someone has that info, I'd appreciate your help

Crucible's Airdi 150? That's what is was referred to in some really old BF posts about D2E.

I saw that post too, but compositions were different, although would still fit into D2 standard spec. It's not really clear whether some people were calling Airdi 150 d2e by mistake or it was official. That "imported" reference further muddies the water.
