IIRC one of the first spydercos was the Ti ATR.

I believe that Steven Roos is correct, in that it was the Sebenza.

My understanding is CRK had a hand in developing S30V so methinks the seb would have been the first.

What about from Spyderco? I'm pretty sure that the Temperance and the Natvie both came out before the ATR, which is pretty new.

The Gunting's 2nd revision was S30v also. It predates the s30v native by at least a year.

That is a good question.

Spyderco is pretty quick on introducing steels sometimes.

But would it not be one of the smaller manufacturers? CRK or the like.

Chris Reeve did indeed work with Crucible to develop S30V. 2002 was the year that the first S30V was produced and that is the same year that the S30V Sebenza, Umfaan and Mnandi were introduced.
