Who made this knife signed "Thornton" - Custom with gread grind

By the way, these image links are to images that are on AuctionZip which is why the link ends in .cgi - There is nothing funny going on there. The image will open up without any of the other information from the auction it is listed in. That is by design from Auction Zip.

Here is the pic for you guys..

Does anyone have a copy of Knives Annual 1986 that they can scan the page off of for me??? I tried to find one on an online auction site but one wasn't available. If you can, I would appreciate you letting me get a copy of it, I would like to read about the vindicator. I have 2 Thornton custom knives and while I don't believe this particular one would be the vindicator, the small boot knife by him I have would probably fit the bill!!!

Ummmm, you're welcome... ;) Anyone?

I have a couple of knives made by the same person. The signature is "Thornton". The knives have great grinds and the wood reminds me of ebony. The only person I found listed as a custom knife maker named Thornton was in Africa. Does anyone have an idea who this maker is???

Junkfan04, would you mind reposting the pictures you had on here? I realize this is a couple years old, but my Dad has been making knives with the label Thornton on them for 40ish years and sold a bunch of knives fitting that description out of Florida and Alabama.

Here is an example of what one looks like. I've also seen him sign cursive if the work is similar.
