I love the benchmade Delta raider knife mostly the way the blade is shaped and how it has the double edge on it. Does anyone know of any knife out there that has the same blade as this knife ? I'm wanting to use this blade when I got back to Iraq for my third time. Thanks

The Branton/Brend Model 2 has a very similar blade profile.

I love recurved spearpoint blades.

You could always order a custom made to your specs, but if you don't want to do that, check out Jerry Hossom's handmade offerings at www.hossom.com - he does not take orders right now, but apparently you don't have the time to wait for a knife to be made anyway. Check the for sale forums, maybe you'll get lucky and score a Hossom or Brend.

This is a picture from Jerry's homepage of the Massive Retribution. Be sure to check out the Retribution, Reprisal and the Duelist, too.

Godspeed.

Does anybody know the blade thickness of Hossom's stuff? in particular the massive retribution? the site didn't say so can anybody chime in?

also, does jerry advocate prying with his knives? i know some companies are known for being "sharpened prybars", what about the hossoms?

it sucks that he's not taking orders right now, cuz that massive retribution looks mighty fine right about now.

He has a lot of nice stuff at his web site I would get one in a second if I could. If you are looking for a sharpened pry bar here is a site http://grahamknives.com/new_razel_line.htm they look like nice knives they also have a lot of other knives.

If you need to watch your money you can get good value from one of the Cold Steel tactical field knives:

For higher blade toughness pick one with a Carbon-V blade rather than stainless. If you are going to work in a salt water environment pick a stainless blade or your edge will keep corroding away.

You might also see what kind of deal you could get on an Al Mar SERE Operator, SOG Bowie, or Boker Orca.
