I jsut threw the 5th one in 2 years in the trash.

This POS kept going off every 9 minutes, like the snooze was stuck. Didint' do it all the time, just did it one time too often....

Other models seem to have problems allowing independent chosing of alarm 1 vs alarm 2, being able to choose between CD vs radio for A1/A2, and other problems.

I'm tired of this crap.

Is there a good dual alrm on the market, or are they all crap????

I use my watch -- currently a Casio with two daily alarms and a snooze alarm. A watch is not as loud as an alarm clock but I trained myself to wake up by using a clock as a backup set a few minutes later. After a few weeks I stopped setting the clock, didn't need it any more.

Mine is a Sony and I've had it for several years now. The LCD display is annoying because the backlight is to bright at night and not bright enough in sunlight. The radio works well and it has that self-setting thing that synchronizes to the NIST. I love the "nap" feature that's almost a third alarm.

I use an RCA RP3721 which I absolutely love. It has adjustable brightness for the screen, battery backup in case of short term power failure, dual alarms that can each be set to radio or buzzer, nap feature, etc.

Not sure if it's made any more as Google doesn't seem to turn up active vendors: just ratings and ebay.

I've got a Sony Psych that seems to offer what you are looking for.

Shop for something other then a cheap P.O.S. made in China by forced labor for Wal-Mart or a similar big box discount store. ;)

Timex makes a triple alarm with CD player and a "line-in" for an MP3 player. I have a Timex triple without CD or line in. Mine has dual volume also. You can set the volume low on the radio or nature sounds before sleeping and have it louder on the alarms for wakeup. They're cheap and pretty rugged. Mine has survived numerous knockdowns and only one standing eight count when the backup battery dislodged.

I'll be headin out this weekend to look into another purchase.

If the new one doesn't work out, look forward to clock-meets-12ga pics...

The thing I hate most with my Timex right now isn't the three alarms it offers, but yet the volume control (doesn't have two separate) and the fact that if you use three alarms, you have to use one of each (buzzer, radio, nature) as you just can't have three buzzers.

Also, when you set an alarm (or the time), you have to scroll through the minutes to set the next hour instead of changing them separately like a digital watch. If my Timex watch were a full-fledged alarm clock I'd be sold. My watch has THREE ALARMS and it's awesome... but, it's also Army Green and not loud enough usually for an alarm clock.

Sony Dream Machine is the way to go. These things last for ever and the ease of use is unbeatable. Can't go wrong with one of these IMHO.
