Who makes a large "Survival" type knife that can handle saltwater?

I know Randall makes one here:

But that's way up there in price. Does any production company make anything similar? I'm not planning on doing Navy SEAL operations or anything like that, obviously, but I think something that could handle saltwater and come out ready to start chopping would be a cool addition to my collection. I know Spyderco makes a lot of folders in H1, but who makes other fixed blades ready for salt?

THey make a H1 fixed blade called the Aqua Salt. Or at least the used to. I've got one and it's my go to outdoor blade.

I am assuming a lot here...but I think operators probably view equipment like knives as semi-disposable and would be concerned with performance first and corrosion second. I am not sure any steel would corrode to oblivion quickly enough in salt water to spoil a mission.

I would recommend that you not make comparisons to what Seals do for this reason.

If you really are spending a lot of time in salt water, perhaps you should look into a dive knife? They often are designed for a much wider range of tasks than a traditional knife...and thus might serve your "survival" purposes well. Short of that, I would ask what you intend to do under the definition of "survival"...then I could offer you some direct recommendations.

FYI. Here is a photo of a CPM-M4 knife laying in the surf at Pensacola beach. I wore this knife all day at the beach, wiped it off on my shirt after the water exposure, and all is fine. YMMV, but this knife rides with me all the time and if it rusts, I will simply buff it out and go back to work. I dig performance first;)

also depends on the salinity of the waters you operate/work in. high carbon stainless steels definitely rust a lot quicker in the tropical seas.
