As the title asks, does anyone know the manufacturer that makes Cold Steels knives that are made in Italy?

Just curious. I have a made in Italy 3V master hunter coming in the mail today. I'm excited to compare it to my old Carbon V models in use and physical characteristics.

Someone in Maniago, Italy. ;) Whoever makes knives for Lionsteel. That city has quite a few knife manufacturers. 4-max is also made there now.

Thanks, very helpful. I received the Italian master hunter today. It's dimensionally very similar to old carbon V models that were distal tapered.

On that note, I've bought and sold 20 something master hunters, and you'd be surprised by the variances in lengths and thicknesses they've come in. Some carbon v models were as thick as the aus-8 models, others are ground thin with a distal taper.

The Italian master hunter seems very well made, and will probably push my carbon v models to the role of collectors.

If only it came with a better sheath, I'm not a fan of the secure-ex sheaths.

Nobody knows. Could be LionSteel, FOX (who's made knives for Ontario and perhaps others), or one of the many other makers in the region.

I can't believe I still haven't found the answer to this. I'm gonna email both Lynn Thompson, and Andrew Demko to try and get it out of one of them. Neither should care at this point as they have both moved on.

I believe that Lynn Thompson still does some work for GSM in their marketing vids and such. Also, I totally expect that he had to sign some documents that would prevent his sharing such information that would expose who those manufactures are.
