Since Marbles is now Paki crap, I thought, say, Case would produce their models. Close but not quite.
I believe USA (Hawaii) is closer to China than NZ.

I think you could find a nice used Marbles for under 200 dollers. You may have to spend some on shipping.:grumpy:

While that is true, I know of no massive counterfeit industry and intellectual theft in Hawaii, as is the case with China. Go west young man, go west.;)

Well...Marbles makes affordable Marbles copies these days....they just arent good.

You looking for Marbles specifically, or something that looks like a Marbles? Stacked leather handle kinda stuff. If its the latter, old Remington and Westerns a available....Marbles clones if you will, but still quality.

Your best bet is a old stock Marble's USA knife and seeing if you could persuade the seller to ship. A lot of collectors bought them and kept them new in the box, so they're easy to find. Prices are running $125 - 200 on perfect common models.

Bark River copies a lot of old designs, so they'd be one to watch.

AG Russell sometimes offers knives similar to Marble's designs sometimes.

The English firm of John Nowill offers a Ideal copy and blade blanks in case you'd like to custom handle it.

Queen offers a somewhat Woodcraftian hunter still in their line up.

Isn't "Paki" regarded as a slur? They even got Prince Harry for that. Please edit your language, ethnic insults aren't welcome here.

Well. I Googled.....Seems that paki may be a racial slur if you live in Great Britain...but here in USA, seems OK

"Paki
A paki is a word used to describe a person from south Asia, Usually works for T-Mobile or in a call centre of some kind.. eventually progressing to the goal of self employed Kebab shop owner.

Paki's are tax exempt and always have a brother that can get it cheaper. They all drive the same VW golf, and always carry more than one mobile phone, usually the other mobile contains terrorist texts messages and the phone numbers of numerous other terrorist. Paki phones usually carry PDF version of holy Qur'an on them, some have even branched out and have iPhone SDK developer programs in which the created their own app called.. "iExplode" unfortunatly for the paki's it was rejected by apple...

typical paki names consist of: sanjee, abdul and kuri sawse"

The above is From The Urban Dictionary It doesn't say it is a slur or offensive at all!

It's ok to not know the rules, or the concept that General is for nice, productive non-insulting discussion, and W&C is for pretty much the opposite. I was not sarcastic with you, please do not be so with me. It is indeed a racial slur.

Are all informal nationality abbreviations offensive, or is it a white-guilt arbitrary case-by-case issue? Brit, Aussie, Canuck ...
Britain's a virtual sharia caliphate these days.

Back on topic, if I can find a NZ importer I could save my shekels for

I believe, that if you are not a moderator, and you object to the content of a post, you are to report the post by using the triangle on the lower left of the offending post, and let the mod staff decide what needs to be edited.

I dunno man, to me it sounds like an abbreviation in a logical sense, but it is a slur because it is often used as such and has developed negative connotations. I mean, I get your point, but it is what it is by nature of how it is most often used. In the south you often hear a white guy call a black guy a n****er then proceed to tell you about what a great guy he is and how he is a fine example of his race. They don't view it as a slur, and yet, it still is such. Sorry if I derailed the thread, I'm just not down with things like that.

Marcinek, I feel ya bro, but anyone can ask anyone else to edit offensive content. Mods can make them, or edit it themselves. I would never attempt to force someone to edit their post. Also, I did report, but I wanted to ask him to edit before doing so.

I used Paki as an abbreviation for Pakistani only. As a racial slur its used about others also from the subcontinent; India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka.

A lot of conjecture and over-sensitivity going on here. Report the post before derailing the thread and let the mods deal with any issues. Get this thread back on track or it will be closed.

Jk Handmade Knives (John Kiedash) has a Marbles Woodcraft inspired knife that is very nicely done, take a peek at his forum and you will see some recent discussion and pics of said knife. Look for his forum under custom knife makers heading. Thanks to you Morrow for the re-direction and Peace & Love to RemyKaze.
