I just bought two Bark River Fox River knives, and I don't like leather sheaths so much.

Do y'all know anyone who can make kydex sheaths for these knives without costing an arm and a leg?

Thank you!

Andy

Hi Andrew -- welcome to Bladeforums!!

Okuden kydex sheaths (linked below) are known for exceptionally good fit & retention of the sheath and overall finish.

They run in the $65 range +/-. So I am not sure if that is "an arm & a leg" or not. But I find them (as with many quality products) worth the price, thus making them a good value. As a forum member's tagline used to read, "Buy quality and only cry once."

You may have to send your knife to Okuden to get a sheath for it. Since his process custom-fits the kydex to the knife, he uses the knife (or at least one of the same model) to fit the sheath.

Our own Normark sets the standard in kydex.
On-Scene Tactical.

(I have 4 of his sheaths :D )

I'll second sheathmechanic. I'v got a piggyback for a hunter/caper combo. Made well and pretty inexpensive (~ $40). Less than 2 week turn around when I ordered.

I will also second normark...Him and Dave Brown BUY BROWN BABY are tops!!!

why the flame about sheathmech?? His stuff looks ok to me...
