You should take a look at Rough Rider's 'Deer Slayer' pattern. It's a monster based on a Traditional Clasp knife. The blade alone is OVER 4" and the whole thing is a whopper. Many different handle choices and inexpensive but certainly they make decent quality knives.
There is a maker in South Africa who makes very beefy knives. His brand is K'Roo. Here's a link to an old sales thread that has some great pictures so you can get an idea:
When I want big and beefy, I reach for my Cold Steel Kudu. Blade over 4". OAL approaching 10". Okay, maybe not so beefy, but if you break it, a replacement is about six bucks.
There are plenty of choices from the manufacturers but also most custom makers have patterns they make that fit the bill.
Paul Mason has been making some beautiful back pocket slip joints.
A lot of the knife makers of hand made custom slipjoints that I know of and deal with, make big folders. Also, they themselves,as well as the collectors of , enjoy them too. Don't count me out
Are you looking for slipjoints specifically? In the OP you just say folding knives.
The first Slipjoint that came to my mind was the Case Bulldog, but I don't know how rare those are. But it is a big clasp knife.
Boker makes a folding hunter clasp knife. That would certainly seem to meet your needs.
As previously mentioned, AG Russell makes and sells a number of big beefy traditional knives. You might be particularly interested in some of the AG Russell Texas Ranger knives. The 2014 is pretty unique looking. Most of the AG Russells over 4 inches tend to be lockbacks, but there is a variety. A picture of the 2014 Texas Ranger, because pictures always help.
