I've bought some paracord leashes, but I have not seen anybody making the paracord bracelets. Anybody out there know someone who does this?

Hi Doug-

Tie the paracord in a knot and you'll have a bracelet. They can also be made out of shoelaces, zip-ties, and rubberbands.

They are pretty easy to make. What are you looking for? Round, square, flat as the ebay offer is? They are the easiest to make. A little ingenuity and a little time and you'll be off and running.

Look to www.boondoggleman.com for a tutorial or twelve.

Member Hogosha makes the 23 Knots para cord bracelet honoring the 23 fallen NYPD Officers. I have several and they're very well made.

That's the guy on Mercop's website right? Must be a good guy.

Hi, guys:

Here's a link to a tutorial on how to make a paracord bracelet. I've been making them with this method for awhile and they come out great.

I make mine with a longer loop and a shorter button end. I slide a bead on the longer loop end and tighten it up against the button. If I want to remove the bracelet I slide the bead back making it easier to remove the loop from the button.

This one is not paracord but uses the same macrame knot, I made it flat on ends and spiral in the middle, the end knots are Mathew Walker. they are easy and fast to make really.

I tried this one several times. All of mine are twisting and won't lay flat. Is there a trick?

You have to alternate between the left and right side when you braid it up. You are not switching sides which gives it a twist.

K.V. is right: you have to alternate between left and right to get a nice flat braid.

If you are interested:

A google search for "macrame" or for "friendship bracelets" will get you instructions on this and similar knots and braids.

A search for "kumihimo" will get you information on a higher level of braiding.
