I need someone to make some leather pocket pouches for my Spyderco Kiwis. My amber bone version has become my favorite knife and I just ordered the MOP version from AG Russel. I also plan on getting the black pearl version and the two Santa Fe Stoneworks pearl w/ silver bug logo versions. Soo, that's a lot of kiwis and they need pocket protection! I know somebody makes stuff like this....

Kenny Rowe made me two beautiful slipjoint pouches. Functional pieces of art in my opinion.

I used to recommend Kenny Rowe first, above all others. However, Dave(Lifter) has gotten really good, so I'm gonna say flip a coin, you can't go wrong with either.

Lifter's Leather is a great source for nice sheaths. Dave's a good person and exceptionally knowledgeable.

Gary Graley also is highly recommended.

I'd trust Gary or Dave to sheath my most expensive custom, and know I'd have a true work of art covering another work of art.

:)

I've seen Gary active on different forums within the last few days.

There have been a few samples of his work posted around, so do a search. His work is top notch, along with lifter's.

(quote from Tom Sawyer) ;)

But I'd second that on Dave's work as well.
A slip sheath is more of a very soft pouch type affair that I don't do many if any of because of the hand stitching the softer material, I do have some Elk skin if Dave isn't able to help out on this one.

There is a Specialty guy that is pretty high priced but has an excellent rep, I've not held one but others with really fancy knives have and like the sheaths
Check his site out Here His name is Arne Mason.

Kiwi's are nice knives, had one but the bigger cutout threw me off and sent it back, but I think it is a very well made knife!

A small belt sheath, if you decide to carry one on the belt, would be something that Dave or myself could most certainly help with as those are things we deal with the most, a bit heavier solid type leather.

Thanks Code3 and Patryn, I've been around a little more lately, just got a new digital camera and playing with that, a Fuji FinePix S5000, pretty cool camera, my first digital!

Here's a hand held snap shot of my Double Cross folder, love that little knife a bunch! Has the middle liner split on each end so that both blades will lock open! and each blade has a thumb stud, so you have the best of the old style with new inovations and the blades are ground down so they truly slice easily!

Thanks everyone for the comments.
Let me say this, and believe me it is not false modesty, Gary is still the king of folder sheaths. Just the fact that people are mentioning me with him has me walking on air.

I answered the email earlier and said exactly as Gary just said. I dont make the softer ones but I'd be happy to make it out of regular sheath leather.
I believe Leatherman's wife may be making the softer ones as well.
