Looking for a chisel ground knife in the 6" range in the neighboorhood of 3/16" to 1/4" thick. I can't really afford Hartsfield or the like. Just something under $400.00. Would like to keep it under $200.00 really but I'm not beyond paying for quality. I single out Hartsfield cause his fixed blades are like over a grand I think LOL... can't swing that right now. So I would appreciate suggestions about who offers quality blades with this edge geometry.

I was going to mention Emerson, but it seems like you're looking for some really thick, long blades. Have you checked around ragweedforge? Seems like a traditional woodworking knife would suit your needs. Not sure if they're all scandi grinds, but it's worth a look.

I don't like that grind in any way shape or form.
It doesn't mean nobody else likes it.

There are many knifemakers here that could take on the job of making a thick chisel ground knife, but they most like will be over $200. I was going to mention emerson but they may be too thin for your liking.
