WHO Makes Stellite Knives?

I want to know, so that when I have the money I can go get one.

I believe I'm one of two that has used Stellite 6K on a continual basis for the last 10-12 years.

A number of makers are using the other cobalt alloy, 6Bh (Talonite), including myself.

Tom Mayo, the superb knifesmith from Hawaii, makes knifes from Stellite 6K. He much prefers this to Talonite (r) finding it much easier to grind! (NOT!!)

Mike Franklin use to make them.

I think the other maker is George Young. Kit told me about him last year. He makes incredible multi-blades out of 6K. See page 138 of Warner's Knives 2000 for one of the most incredible multi-blades you'll see...

I had the chance to handle that knife. Awesome. It is ALL Stellite. Blades, liners, bolsters, and springs.

Yes, but are the screws made of stellite?

No screws. It's pinned together with Stellite pins.

Only Kit Carson makes stellite screws. Oh, excuse me, that's forged stellite...
