Who makes this knife?..

I saw a knife about two years ago before I become "interested" in knives...

I remember liking the design but did not want to spend the money to buy it( under $100).

I have looked and googled but can not find it or anything that works remotely like it.

The knife I saw was assisted open by means of a lever arm that was on one of side of the knife.

The arm was connected to fulcrum at the pivot screw but was "geared" in such a way that moving the lever just a small amount along the flat of the handle was enough to swing the blade all the way open.

The lever have a nice ergonomic shape made it look and feel very nice.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could post a link or picture... Better yet a make/model so I could purchase one..

Camillus Lev-R-Lok!!!!! Bingo..

That is it or almost identical.. I remember the lever being longer but could have just been a different Model...

Thank you soooooo much!!!!

Is this a decent Knife?

More specifically is the mechanism sound?
Is there a reason they are not more popular? I thought it was a great idea when I first saw it years ago but never carried one or even used one other then viewing in the store..

Unfortunately, Camillus has gone out of business*, and the knives would only be available as NOS or on the secondary market. My friend had one in his shop, sat there for years.

Decent enough knife though....

*Or rather, I should say, the Camillus that made this knife has gone out business.

I have one of these, picked it up for $12. Great little knife and fun to play with.

Is the design patented? Seems really cool... Surprised it is not seen more anyplace else..

That slider version is even more cool ( and functional) then the lever...(said by the person who has never held one)..

Any advise on how to find one would be appreciated... ( I already posted in the WTB section)

The Lev-r-lok was sold in Perth Western Australia as a legal flick knife/switch blade because you can't own anything that's fun.
You would never get one through customs now. The way it's going you will need a permit for a sharp pencil.
