Who makes Tuna Valley?

I'm hoping if our distinguished panel of experts here can tell me if GEC makes Tuna Valley, or are they in their own. A dealer is advertising new CPM154 gunstocks that look a lot like a GEC make to me. Just curious.

Thanks! Joe

Found this tidbit:

The Daniels Family has sold thier shares of Great Eastern Cutlery to their former partner as of Janurary 1, 2012. At the same time Perry Miller decided to sell us the rights to Tuna Valley Cutlery Co. We are going to use the name to offer high quality 100% USA handmade traditional knives. As the line unfolds we hope to continue bringing you great natural handle materials and some new specialty steels.

They are all made by Queen. At least now.

FWIW, if you see a knife in anything but 440c and 1095, it is likely not made by GEC. Northwoods had one, but that is all I know of.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Didn't think of Queen.

I seem to remember that Knives Live (SMKW) was hawking Tuna Valley knives just before they went off the air. I just checked and I couldn't find Tuna Valley products on their web site, however.

Some of the early Tuna Valley were made by Great Eastern Cutlery. Some of the early Tuna Valley Patterns and most of the stock Queen Cutlery patterns were designed by the Founder and Owner of Great Eastern Cutlery, Bill Howard. Therefore there is quite a resemblance between these knives.

They really are some of the best Queen has to offer. :)
