A good quality drop point hunter with a 3-31/2 inch blade with a good sheath. Something in the 60-70 dollar range if possible. As much as I look a t knives I should know. I have a small Kabar that would be just right but it has a up sweep skinning blade. The make a drop point but it has a gut hook which I don't really want. I don't suppose BR makes one in that price range.

There's been an awful lot of talk about the Rat Cutelry 3 (as opposed to Ontario RAT3). I own the RAT-3 in D2, and if I had to do it again, today, I think I'd follow the suggestions for the RC-3

Fallkniven F1?
A bit too long 4"?
Too dear?(around £60 pounds, I dont know the exchange rate)
An excellent knife!!! for hunting and outdoors.

would really recommend the benchmade 201 activator - bought one for my son for Christmas and liked it so much I bought one for myself. Have been using it for the last two weeks - it is one tough little knife.

If you find the RAT-3 to your liking -- check out the RAT RC-3. Same guys, different manufacturer with some quality upgrades.
