I noticed their P99 blade on the internet. Anyone know who makes this knife and their knives in general? Is the company still in Germany, or has the name been bought by a different cutlery company, or....?

Hey Guys..

If you go find Carl Walthers grave,,and dig him up,, you will find him Spinning.
The same can be said for Mr.Smith, Mr.Wesson, and Mr.Colt

All are Spinning in their graves with what their names are being put on..

Normark has a point.

But, then again, the same could be said for founding fathers (and mothers) of most old time big name companies.

The company itself is still located in Germany. Since they cooperate with Smith & Wesson in the firearms department, my guess is that Taylor Cutlery (who makes S&W's knives) manufactures the Walther blades.
The P99 certainly looks like the Böker A/F, but I don't know if they actually make them for Walther maybe it's a licensed copy or something.

Please don't quote me on anything in this post, as I'm merely speculating here.
