When you have an awesome Spaceship Caplifter Knife? :D :D :D
So I had sent Perry aka; singin50 a BigBiscuit modified Easy Open 77 Barlow last week. He wanted to return the generosity and he sent me this rediculously awesome Spaceship knife! I love this knife. I had one just like it as a kid. I really don't know whatever happened to it. Perry and I were talking about how spaceship, rockets, and cowboy memorabilia was at it's height of popularity during the late 50's and early 60's. I mentioned how I have a pic of me somewhere from the late 50's all dress up in a full cowboy outfit and in the background you can clearly see curtains and bed sheets adorned with spaceships, rockets, planets and such. :D
My grandson loves to go through my knife collection and see what's new or claim something new for himself. ;) When the Spaceship Knife arrived, I was talking to him on the phone and displayed the next best feature of the knife; a whistle! Hahaha :D My grandson says; What was that? I told him he'll just have to see for himself today when he comes over for a visit. He bolted right over to my computer desk searching for the new toy. When he saw the Spaceship Knife he just started giggling and inspecting it. He loves it and wanted to know if he could put it in his collection. How can I refuse? :D
By now, you realize that I have used a lot of smiley emoticons here in this post. That's because Perry is so awesome, he brought many smiles to our faces here in New England today with his awesomeness! Thank you Perry. I have said it before and I'll say it again. It's because of people like you, this forum is the best! Your right up there at the top of the heap among so many others. Class act. :D
Now for the gratuitous pics of course. :D

Bob that is neat He looks happy about that knife!

He certainly is Mark. He has a few nice knives of his own. He is very good at handling them.

Thanks Vince.

Reminds me of Toy Story and Buzz Lightyear as per my childhood, what a great guy and great knife for your grandson Bob. Good looking Boxer in the back too

That is very cool, Bob! I miss the simpler days of the past. Nevertheless we must go on and I do my best to drive on but it is fun to reminisce about the days gone by sometimes. Bob I'm so pleased that he and you as well are enjoying the CAMCO spaceship knife! It's sure fun to know a bit of the history behind what we are all expecting very soon in August though.

Ahhh...what a pleasure to read and see the smile on that handsome lads face...priceless!! Thanks Bob and Perry!!! Well done gentlemen:thumbup::thumbup::D

Paul...your too funny...thanks for the laugh, my friend:D

This is one cool thread! Bob, your grandson looks to be very happy. He is fortunate to have you, as you are him. Moments like these pass so fleeting but remain so vivid in memory. Cherish them my friend, as I know your grandson will.

Good on you Perry. How cool to be a part of that moment in a most generous way.

Chris

It looks brand new! It's neat to see one in such good condition. I found one a few years ago but it must have been on one too many space adventures... or maybe too much mumblety-peg. I hadn't seen one with the lanyard still attached.

Neat gift!

That is one of the most awesome things ( I can limit it to just knives) that I have ever seen in my life! Your Grandson is lucky to have such a cool Grandpa.

Great stuff :) Smashing knife too, a real piece of history

Great knife, great gift and a super result. A knife that brings a smile like that will be cherished. A fitting end for its long journey.
