I'm very close to pulling the trigger on one. Only thing holding me back a bit is the size, or rather the lack of it. I'm looking for your opinions/experience with this particular blade and it's small size.
I have one. IIRC, it's close to the size of the old 14210. That blade worked fine for an everyday knife for my needs. I don't think the blade of the 484 would be as much of an issue as the size & shape of the handle. The 14210 worked for me because of the straight handle. The finger grooves on the 484 make it a bit uncomfortable for my hands. In that size knife, I lean more toward my 525 or mini-Grip than I do the 484.
I don't have one, but have repeatedly fondled one at the knife shop I go to. I really like the knife. It is on the small side, as far as, things I carry regularly but I dont find it uncomfortable or too small. Again, I don't own one - just a fondler.
Thanks for your input guys. Unfortunately I'm not in a position where I can try/hold one first. I decided to just risk it. Worst that can happen is I don't like it and return it for something else. I typically lean towards the larger folders but the look of the Nakamura kept grabbing my attention. I hope it feels good in hand. I'll let you guys know how I like it, it's arriving tomorrow
