I am sending payment off for a Plain Edge Civilian and I was curious to see who else owns one. They are a rare find.

I will have three Civilians when I get this one. A G-10, aluminum handle serrated and aluminum handle plain edge. I am planning on picking up some more. I want to find someone to do a custom handle. I saw a picture of a customized Civilian Jim Keating owns and it was really slick.

Well, I had one that I bought new for 80 bucks. I didn't like it as well as the serrated and sold it for 70 bucks.

I would love to add a plain edge Civilian to my collection of Spyders. Anyone got one for sell?

Well, I've got one, but it sure as heck isn't for sale. I carried it every day in Bosnia in '97-'98 (bought it in Germany). I'll tell ya, it even raised eyebrows there!
So, I picked up a G-10 serrated model, and that's what I carry now. Just doesn't handle the same though. Have you guys noticed that? I could put the aluminum handled model through dexterity drills to make yer head spin, but it's harder to do with the more standard clip on the new one. The rubber inlaid clip was cool as hell, just too flashy for my tastes.

There has to be others out there who have a plain edge Civilian.

Ryan, I hear what your saying about how the alum. handle feels.

Jonas--

No, I never really got over to SWEBAT that much. At that time I was at NORDPOL, livin' it up with the other swedes, norwegians, poles, danes, finns, etc. outside of Doboj.
Lots o' fun & guns in da balkans...

I suspect that none of us here is letting this kind of knife to slip out of our hands easily. Coolness factor + rarity + desirability + collectibility sums to the fact that price is high. I stated (in my knife page) that mine MIGHT be available in trade for sebenza. But then I'd had to locate another PEC...
