who owns, saw, handled a Buck Mayo Cutback?

i was looking at one today infact, good price, 440c steel, lightweight.

the framelock engaged and disegaged smoothly, lock up was solid, no play.

the blades decently thick, but not as thick as the mayo/buck northshore.

handle was comfortable, if its to small theres always the hilo, the bigger version.

they are made in china, but this means nothing. i have a buck pilot and its the other new buck overseas made knife, 440c steel, one of my favorite knives. slices like a sak. awsome fit and finish.

i recomend this knife, i was going to buy the cut back but a bought a buck rush instead, gota love those assisted openers. :D :D

Bought one for a friend. He's pretty hard on knives but the Cutback is holding it's own. Absolutely no blade play, adjustable pivot and nicely designed handle. The 440C blade holds it's edge very well. It's a keeper.

I've handled the Hilo. While it seemed a good enough knife, I didn't care much for the thumbstuds. They're too pointed IMO, and hurt my thumbs when opening the knife.

Looks like a great knife to take apart and do a total satin finish (handles) and two tone HP (blade). If the lock up is on par with the Buck/Mayo S30v, I'll be needing one soon.
