Who produces good quality Buck-like Knives?

Hello everyone! Hope you can help me out. So i have this knife for 10-15 Years and always wondered who made it. Its not written on the knife. The stamp just says the grade of steel used (?) and that it was made in the US. No other markings on it.

I had similiar looking noname knives that wore out in the "normal" expected amount of time, but this one is different. The blade still has no spiel, the wood hasnt splintered, nothing is wobbly and i use this knife like its an omnitool. The quality of this one ist exellent!

The longer i have it the more curious i got. All i could find is that the Buck company came up with this design and that its the most copied design of knives, making my search for its producer all the harder. Thats why i thought i ask here who could have made it? Who produces Buck-like knives on par with an original (never had an original Buck, but this one leaves nothing to be desired from a knife).

If its any indication i brought it from a dedicated knife shop in my town for about 100€ way back when.

There was concern that Buck's name was not on the knife which it the reason for the 2nd variation tang mark. The blades stamped without the word "BUCK" were made approx. Dec 2013 to Feb 2014. The was a release of 110's in December 2013 using the 2014 50th Anniversary blades before they had the 50th anniversary handle shields. I believe that is the knife shown by the OP. The knife shown is actually pretty scarce as there were not as many of the FG's and is without the handle shield.

Thank you all for your answers, especially pjsjr and DeSotoSky. The lead with the 50th year edition seems to be right. I found some old threads in this forum about it. Who would have thought nobody noticed that they removed their name from the knife^^

Thanks for sating my curiosity :)

Thanks for getting back and updating about what you found out.

Because of the finger groove, I think you have a fairly limited production knife. I think I saw production numbers in a post for most of the 50th Anniversary knives.

Sorry, I don't remember where and I can't find it now.

Preston, Was it Joe Houser who posted the numbers? I remember the chart.
Boy, remember the days when he played here? He seems to occasion the BCCI FB site now.

addendum: I found it! Joe did an article for the June 2014 BCCI newsletter explaining the 50th anniversary edition variations of the 110.
The OP's knife would be the FG Variation 1, 1 of 240.

Joe Houser is still a very productive knife maker. Most of them seem to be released on eBay by Craig Sly as craigs4724.
Craig is known here on the forum as DOGPOUND77.
I have seen a few of his knives offered by Craig but thought that he might have been just suppling Craig with a few.
