So I got on my computer recently and I wanted to watch some Hoods Woods Survival Series , unfortunately a Hacker messed my videos up and now they won’t play.
I remember Ron hacking up a rabbit to cook with his version of a FBM, maybe one he helped design?
It’s been a long time since I watched Ron’s videos but I would like to hear from other members who remember him.
And more importantly the BM he carried.

Hahaha. Not Me, I was using my Jedi powers to convince everyone else Wayne didn’t have them.

I’ve got messages with him going back to 2013 badgering him to sell to me.

Remember the Hood's very well. He's the one who got me started into Busse. Had 1 of the first SHBM because of him. I was not always the great guy I am now and added fuel to a fire in a thread over 20 years ago on this forum. A lot of things came out of that and not all of it was bad. Do miss a lot of the people that were around the forum back then for sure.

I think you meant SHBM, not FBM. The FBM came much after Ron Hood had already moved on to another brand of knives, after Busse did not produce Rons special design knife. I thought that the special Hood design was based off a BME hybrid knife, but could be wrong on that. I spoke to Ron several times over the years, but never in depth. The Tops guys based their Anaconda off his design. At the time, there had already been a bunch of Busse knife press prior to Ron Hoods article, so his article just added to the proof of quality. Cliffs indepth test of the SHBM came out in early 1998(I think) and it shook kF (Pre-BF) pretty well. Prior to that, Chris Janowski had flogged an A2 steel heart really well and it was posted in a survival magazine. I spoke to him about that test several times. Good guy. So there was a lot of testing to go along with the hype.
