he only briefly appears in their commercial explains how wonderful his design is and you get to know he lives in wisconsin.

so here's what bugs me:

they say he is like THE knife expert (they even call him sometin like 'guru of knife design')
never heard of the guy, so I googled him => nothing
even if he isn't the foremost expert (I doubt that there is one, but think there are several) he should be on the net somewhere. even if he doesn't have a website, which some famous makers don't, he should at least be mentioned somewhere...

I really wanted to find out about him, because despite the miracleblades being hyped as they are, they are quite usable and get scaaaaary sharp with the sharpmaker.

can anyone help out?

I wouldnt put any value on what is said during an infomercial. the guy is probably just some joe shmoe nobody.

yeah I know that you can basically dump the knife after cutting into a stone and all, but for cheap kitchen knives they are ok. I know cus I got a set for cheap, like 10bucks.

still bugs me that I am unable to find out about that lofifee guy.

The name Arlan Lothe at least shows up with a zabasearch as a guy in Wisconsin. I have a couple Miracle Blades in my collection. They have some cute design features, but they are pretty cheaply made.

looks like there is indeed an Arlan Lothe in Adams, WI. Makes throwing knives - and throws 'em too.

I only found one connection showing him as the designer of the Miracle Blade, though. Any other info?
