Unlike hatchets heavy full tang knives are more evenly balanced and less likely to bounce back at you. I have probably thrown large knives at my stump 20,000+ times. Never had one come back at me. The most they ever did was bounce off maybe 3ft. Hatchets on the other hand have gone 15ft in rebound. Which is fine since I throw from over 20ft.

Thanks! I have been throwing anything that I can get my hands on for a long time. I would warm up with cheap stuff but have no issues with throwing fancy blades (once I decide they will not be re-homed.)
