my buttery smooth opening endura got somwhat stiff. i put a little oil on the pivot but it didn't do anythign. i decided to take it apart. after taking out the three frame screws and the longer frame screw holding the lock, i took out the pivot screw. it took a little effort after the screws were out to separate the FRN handle. the flat spring that exerted pressure on the back lock immediately sprung out.

I found out that it was the threadlock that i put into the clip screws that dripped down on the liner and that was what caused the stiffness. after scraping the threadlock away, i started to put it bakc together. i had some difficulty putting it together until i discovered that i would put in all the screws partially assembling the unit except for the flat spring which was not completely in place. I just used a small screwdriver to push the flat spring into the proper position and tightened the screws. then i took out the screws one at a time and applied threadlock.

now my EDC endura is smoother than ever.

Thanks for sharing. I've often thought of taking some of mine apart to make some "Frankenstein" Enduras. I appreciate the tips.

The G-10 Endura is a bit easier than the regular one, due to the steel back spacer.
