Who uses a tube popper

As the question says; Who uses a tube popper and how much use are they in reality? I have come close to getting one but can't seem to pull the trigger. I never had an issue opening the tubes myself without damaging them and once the knife is removed for use the tube is stored empty. It seems like a nice little gadget but of little real use except for possibly the bottle opener. ( Then again in the day of the twist off even that is of limited use)

I use the end of a SAK to pop my tubes.

Most folders will do it except the square end trappers.

I keep an RR2197 Jobo knife opener on my desk. It works great for popping tubes (as well as other tasks).

I mainly use the tube poppers for blade keys (as it was designed )

In my house, there is always another knife nearby with the requisite head gap to pop that top!!

I use the popper occasionally. I wouldnt pay for one, but one of the dealers used to include them with knife purchase years ago.

It’s not just a tube popper; it’s also a bottle opener and blade key!

…but yeah, I always just use the gap at the pivot end of another knife. Did a lot of that with Eleanor’s Nifebrite Bull Nose when packing for our move to MN a few years ago.
