I am very interested in this steel. I would like to see it in a blade like a Falkkniven A1, or a Mineral Mountain Survival Bowie.

Cliff Stamp has an excellent analysis and review on his site and here passim. Several makers use it. I have a Lightfoot fixed blade in the stuff. Awesome performance.

I have been able to handle a few of Jerry's.

If your interested in a fixed blade made for performance check out his work. The pictures do not do the knives justice.

I heard a rumor that Chris Reeve is looking at 3V for the one piece line. Wouldn't that make a kickass Project I!

Ivan Campos is doing some new work now in CPM3V. His work in K-100 (a.k.a. D-3) is awesome, and his knife designs are continuing to evolve. Get in touch with him in Tatui, Brazil before his prices get out of sight. Do a search on these pages or e-mail him at campos@bitweb.com.br.

Hossom is the man. When he starts taking orders again I plan to get one of his big fighters (likely, a Guarded Duelist) in CPM3V. His knives are truly works of art.

Phil Wilson (seamount@bigplanet.com) does as well. He is building me a 10" class heavy use, high performance blade in CPM-3V.

Has anyone mentioned Jerry Hossom yet? Oh, sorry. ;):D

Chuck Hallberg is another maker who does some wonderful things with 3V.

Mike Snody uses 3V in some of his knives. He has unfortunately stopped taking orders though. He and his wife are great people nad I highly recommend his knives.

You definitely want to get yourself a knife from Jerry.

If the steel selection is the excuse - so be it...

He is one of the finest.

You will not regret it - and the wait is well worth it.

Besides Jerry Hossom, you might try Trace Rinaldi. Very nice work and different designs then Jerry Hossom. The Armegeddon in CPM-3V is an awesome knife! :D
