35" of Kumar made Tarwar, horn handled, and in an Oxblood red scabbard. The point, which wasn't really boogered up all that bad, will now prick your finger like a rose thorn. It's honed up, oiled up, and ready to go. It's a good sword but doesn't suit my style, I've already become a bit biased toward my Bura Tarwar, which swings as instinctively as a good machete.

If interested drop me an e-mail, I love to "horse trade", and more than happy to let you get the better part of the bargain. I really enjoy knives, but like a lot of y'all I have as many as I do out of want, not need.;)

Sorry gang, there's a fellow up in Canada who sprung on this rascal with the speed of a striking diamondback. Actually Geezer started bugging me about this one as soon as I bought it. He must have known it would be too high class for a humble yeoman archer. Sorry especially to Raghorn, you were first runner up. But stay tuned, Phil might decide it's too big for him too.

Must admit that I agree with you about the old Bura Tarwars. Looks are one thing. But the way it feels in the hand is smooth as fine whiskey.

By the way, I've begun fooling around with the scabbard and see maybe why the kamis/sarki changed frogs from vertical to horizontal. The frog is placed right at the center of balance for the Tarwar + scabbard. So the horizontal frog allows it to hang tilted forward at an angle that's just right. A vertical frog makes it hang straight down.

Thanks Sarge, and good grab, Phil. Like Uncle says, they always find the right home. :)

I guess I did spring a little when Sarge mentioned that he might have a Tarwar up for grabs... :D:rolleyes:

Raghorn, if mine is not the right home for it, I will contact you first. You have my word on that.:)

Thanks Phil, I'd be interested if things don't work out, and I have a mighty fine piece to trade. :D
