Yep a D2 BK11.
I want!!
Please do it.:cool::thumbup:

I'd prefer it to be real stainless in 154CM, and satin finished, similar to the Benchmade Bone Collector Mini Skinner, which they state is stonewashed, but I beg to differ. I'm no fan of stone wash, so yes, how about some satin stainless finished 11', 14's, and an upgraded 24?

I was thinking of gifting a BK11 to a friend of mine who owns a bar. And I was thinking that she would like it more if it was some what shiny and didn't stain. I think that some folks like stainless type steels better for looks.

I love my patinas, so the regular Becker carbon steel really does it for me.

But I can see that the BK 21 would be a great tool for every bartender out there, and I was thinking since KABAR/ BECKER already have D2....maybe??

Other stainless steels would be great too. BK31 BK41 etc. :)

I would be in. Love the 11. I think it would make a great platform for trying all sorts of different steels.

I have no opinion on the 11 in D2.

Off topic here: I would love to trade my 11 for another 14, or even a 24 (I know they are not the same price wise). I just can't appreciate my 11 for some reason, even though I have used the bottle opener one time. I just love my 14, and don't have room in my psyche to be more accommodating toward the 11.

Maybe if I had micarta scales then it would be different.

And ...... Priceless! Or too high priced. For the steel aficianados, how is the strength of D2 when used as a big chopper?

Why go halfway? D2 and 154CM are soooo 1980

Elmax or CPM-3V, baby!

For the steel aficianados, how is the strength of D2 when used as a big chopper?

Definitely not my first (or fifth) choice for a chopper. There are several steels capable of similar edge-holding, and much higher toughness. See above ;)

elmax tweeners would be scary, as would a 3V becker/reinhart kukri.

I am a big fan of carbon steels, but if I had to pick a stainless steel to go on a becker 11/14 I would say some CPM 3v/Elmax or the alike. Something that would take the stupid toughness of the 11/14 and just make it ridiculous. A full on real beater. Plus even in higher end steels the price would be still be really reasonable in the 11/14 package... I still need to pick me up a 24... It might kick the 15 out of my pocket.

I'd Love an ELMAX BK11, and BK15 YES a 15 :)

I would jump all over a BK11 in D2, 3V, S30V, etc... I do wish they would make some runs in other steels. M4 would be amazing too!!!

Ho-Hum.

If we are going to dream, dream big. After testing that Condor Bushcraft Parang (you should be getting yours in the mail today, Al) the thought hit me...How AWESOME would a mid-sized parang in 1095CV (if it aint broke, don't fix it!) designed by Ethan Becker and manufactured by Kabar be? I was never really into parangs much before, but after this past weekend, I'm a believer. I'd love a BK-35 Parang!

But...I suppose a BK-11 or BK-14 in an exotic steel like the stuff Survive! knives use would be pretty awesome...

Yes please! But not D2, I'd prefer something more stainless. Maybe a plain-jane 440c, like the supposedly-forthcoming Esees?
The 11 is already my favorite, but that would be amazing...
